Position Summary

The Lotame Data Management Platform is a distributed, highly-available, cloud-based system

built on Amazon Web Services, supporting employees and clients across the globe. As a

Lotame DevOps Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain “Infrastructure as Code”

solutions to challenging technology problems. Your solutions may include tools, applications, or

entire environments that you build, package, and deliver supporting Lotame’s cloud platform.

Additionally, you will regularly consult with the Software Development teams to research, adopt,

and promote new technologies and best practices. You will also interface with the Operations

team to build tools and standard operating procedures supporting their goals of 24/7 uptime and

high reliability.


Day to Day Responsibilities

Our work and computing environment is dynamic, so during any given day you may have the

opportunity to:

● Build solutions for continuous integration, automated testing, and release management.

● Evaluate new products and vendors to improve our processes.

● Support and enhance automation tooling underpinning release management processes.

● Define and advocate for engineering best practices in our Infrastructure as Code.

● Develop tools and documentation to help implement software engineering best

practices.

● Implement security rule enforcement mechanisms.

● Collaborate and coach developers and operations team members in the deployment of

new systems.

● Consult with engineering teams to identify and resolve process inefficiencies.

● Communicate your work to team members and stakeholders in an effective,

collaborative manner.


Required Skills and Qualifications

● Excellent written and verbal communications

● Extremely detail-oriented

● Strong troubleshooting and problem solving abilities

● Demonstrate high trustworthiness and ability to be a team player

● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

● 5+ years of DevOps experience, including

● 5+ years of AWS administration experience, including use of the CLI

● 5+ years of Linux administration experience

● Solid understanding of SDLC, CI/CD, IaC, IaaS, source control, containers and

configuration management

● Experience with Jenkins, git, Sonar, Cloudformation, Puppet, Java and Python strongly

preferred
