Job Description


Our client is seeking a Facilities Manager to join their team. The Facilities Manager is responsible for overall maintenance ensuring the proper functioning, maintenance, cleanliness and safety in and of all areas of the facility. The Facilities Manager is also responsible for development, implementation and monitoring of the Life Safety Management program and the safety education of employees and staff.


  • Ensures the proper maintenance of the entire facility by adhering to all appropriate policies, standards and procedures to ensure a safe and sanitary work environment.
  • Daily inspects the facility to ensure high quality standards are maintained.
  • Proactively maintains and performs repairs to equipment and facility as needed.
  • Documents and maintains appropriate logs, reports, inspections, and repairs in accordance with CMS, AAAHC, ACR, and State/Federal regulatory requirements and standards.
  • Responds to emergency repair/maintenance situations in a professional manner.
  • Stays abreast and up-to-date with the Life Safety Code; changes and implements policies as necessarily
  • Stays abreast and up-to-date on all professional standards and policies as appropriate to include those of the accrediting bodies, such as OSHA and Local/State/Federal entities and makes changes as required.
  • Conducts training and in-service for staff regarding Life and Fire Safety, as well as Fire Extinguisher use. Monitors, evaluates, and documents employees/staff preparedness for emergency situations.
  • Acts as Safety Committee Co-Chair and assists in evaluating safety.
  • Helps establish facility wide and area specific safety policies.
  • Coordinates hazard surveillance program and communicates findings to appropriate individuals and documents such.
  • Participates in the incident/event reporting procedures and follows up on safety issues as appropriate.
  • Serves as liaison alongside the CEO and CFO with Fire Marshall, City Inspector and Safety Consultant and coordinates annual test.
  • Coordinates and maintains facility emergency services policies and procedures via "Emergency Preparedness Manual".


  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
  • 5 years’ experience in facility maintenance, physical plant operations, as well as supervisory, or administrative experience
  • Project administration, finance, compliance, planning, design and construction.
  • Knowledge of maintenance and operations.
  • Posses’ analytic skills, decision making skills and a strong attention to detail needed to oversee construction and renovation projects.
