The Patient Access Education Coordinator oversees the orientation and continuing education of the Clinic Support Specialists for the Physician Enterprise. The primary position responsibility will be to onboard, educate and support the practice managers and directors in meeting department standards and goals while ensuring compliance with department and hospital policies and procedures. This is a Coordinator position but may serve as a back-up Clinic Support Specialist when necessary.

a. Leads and coordinates new employee orientation, maintains competencies, and serves as the education resource for employees following orientation.
b. Responsible for training all front office staff on new workflows.
c. Responsible for follow up with front office staff to ensure correct worklfows being utilized. Holding staff accountable to their specific position criteria and performance expectations.
d. Assists directors in standardizing workflows between clinics.
e. Develops staffing standards in conjunction with physician enterprise directors.
f. Monitors daily capacity for clinics and assigns PRN and float staff according to specific staffing metrics.
g. Works independently with minimal supervision.
h. Maintain knowledge of all software and workflows to be able to produce and maintain training documentation and presentations.
i. Maintains educational reference materials for front office staff and ensures all materials are easily accessible by all direct and non-direct reports as needed.
j. Coordinates completion of daily reports, daily audits and other metrics and activities as assigned.
k. Knowledge of department operational workflows and contributes information to strategic plans and reviews, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards, resolving problems, identifying system improvements.
l. Provides quality assurance of all activities that fall within the responsibility of the clinic support specialist.
m. Ensures compliance with Medicare and other regulatory insurance requirements.
n. Demonstrates excellent inter-personal skills, strong attention to detail, multi-task oriented.
o. Oversees float office staff and develops metrics to determine float needs daily.
p. Acts as a liaison between the Clinic Support Specialists and other ancillary departments of the hospital. Works to maintain a high level of positive working relationships within the department while promoting the concept of leading by example.
q. Performs other duties as needed or assigned.
a. High school diploma or equivalent.
b. Two years current experience in a healthcare setting.
a. Two years hospital registration experience.
b. Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Business, Communications, or related field of study.
