Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance/Facilities Technician works with the Facilities team throughout the company to assist in keeping the company/facility functional. This critical position interacts daily with production to perform maintenance, work on building improvements, and with contractors and vendors to ensure equipment repairs, upgrades and installs are carried out correctly.

ROLE QUALIFICATIONS: Conceptual skills, process improvement, verbal communication, functional and technical skills, controls and instrumentation, experience with hand/power tools, attention to detail, sound judgment, ability to work with a team and ability to work alone and self motivate.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on building and machinery.

  • Provide general assistance around the shop.

  • Escort vendors as needed.

  • Monitor preventative maintenance schedules.

  • Assist with troubleshooting, inspection and parts ordering.

  • Assist in the development of new procedures and safety protocols.

  • Operate forklift and scissors lift.

  • Regular attendance is required

  • Other duties as assigned by manager

    hands to finger, handle, or feel tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, talk or hear. The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be comfortable on ladders and lifts and heights.

  • Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at that time. The noise level in the work environment varies.

  • Machine Safety Inspections
  • Creating Preventive Maintenance Plans
  • Mechanical Troubleshooting Skills
  • Troubleshooting CNC Machines
  • Experience in a Manufacturing Environment

  • CNC Lathe (5+ axis)

  • Forklifts
  • Press Brake

Salary info:

$20 - $33 / hr
