We are seeking a dynamic Beverage Director to join our team.  A successful candidate will have a genuine passion for the hospitality industry and an entrepreneurial spirit.Responsibilities

1. Focus on improving guest satisfaction through on-going training and development of employees, working with the culinary team for menu development and guest feedback about product
2. Constantly seeking innovative ideas for product presentation and enhanced service
3. Must be courteous and gracious, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times
4. Establish and maintain good communication and teamwork with fellow colleagues and other departments within the hotel
5. Ensure guests are offered an enjoyable experience that conforms to the hotel’s standards of excellence, professionalism and friendliness
6. Must have full knowledge of menu items, their ingredients and preparation techniques
7. Develop a complete working knowledge of all beverage products served by the restaurants and bars
8. Ensure that all details of service are performed properly and that every guest receives the highest quality of service
9. Provide expert knowledge of wine and spirits
10. The ability to work closely with the Director of Food & Beverage to design effective beverage offerings while ensuring excellent product quality at a fair price and attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments
11. Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory and cash control 
12. Observe physical condition of facilities and equipment in the outlet and make recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed  
13. Ensure that employees are attentive, friendly, courteous and efficient in their interactions with guests, management and all other employees
14. Take ownership of all service issues brought to your attention by guests
15. Adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos and verbal instructions
16. Maintain “open door” communication with employees
17. Responsible for interviewing, selecting, training, guiding, managing and scheduling personnel
18. Responsible for performance evaluations and setting annual goals of supervised employees in a timely manner
19. Maintain awareness of documentation needed and retained in employee files
20. Ensure staff understands their job expectations before holding them accountable
21. Be familiar with all safety and emergency procedures including OSHA requirements
22. Attend relevant meetings

Core Competencies

1. High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
2. Three (3) years related experience in hospitality or service industry preferred
3. Strong communication skills

6. Computer Proficiency: Microsoft Office, Opera PMS
