Software Development Manager

Direct Hire / Hybrid (~1 day every 2-4 weeks onsite)

We are seeking a remote / hybrid (~1 day every 2-4 weeks onsite) Software Development Manager to manage a group of ~12.  Managed positions include: QA, Database Administration, Database Developers, and BA's.  App development is completed via OutSystems low-code platform (launched ~1-2 yrs. ago).

Key Job Responsibilities

• Manage a Software Development team of direct reports
• Recruit, hire, mentor, and coach Software Development Engineers at different levels of experience
• Manage and execute against project plans and deliver commitments within a professional, high paced engineering environment
• Interface with our internal/external customers to understand requirements, set priorities, and communicate direction and progress
• Own all operational metrics and support for your teams’ software
• Drive improvements in software engineering practices

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 8+ years of Software Development work experience
• 5 years of experience with multiple direct reports within a Software Development team

Preferred qualifications

• 15 years of Computer Science work experience
• Experience/Expertise in manufacturing
