Jr. Network Engineer, Cisco Firewalls

Our Manufacturing Process engineer role will provide data and access security at Manufacturing and Lab sites for our global client. You will assist with the corporate initiative to install Firewalls and security measures that provide for the ability to Secure 3 IT Systems and assets down to specific Users and Physical addresses.

HYBRID ROLE: 2-3 days/week Maplewood, MN offices

"DAY IN THE LIFE" RESPONSIBILITIES:

• MPEI Network Engineer will implement and support Cisco ASA Firewalls
• Supporting/Participating/Coordinating corporate industrial control refresh projects
• Participating in 7X24 on call rotation
• Provide technical support of manufacturing process control equipment
• Coordinate with industrial control systems and protection with an ASA firewall
• Troubleshoot, fault isolation and resolution
• Networking, routing protocols and network design
• Change management supporting new IT, engineering, and manufacturing controls processes

EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

• Minimum of one year experience as a networking engineer with focus on Firewalls
• ITSM application and processes: Incident and Change management.
• Experience with Cisco ASA Firewalls preferred
• Self-starter with demonstrably strong problem solving skills
• Seeking individuals energized by working in large global corporate infrastructure

ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE / QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience and understanding of industrial control systems (ie: PLCs) and protecting of such within a firewall
• Strong Troubleshooting skills
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies and processes
• Flexibility and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced working environment
