Adult Education Child Care Provider

Lapeer County ISD is seeking an Adult Education Child Care Provider to join our Education and Technology Center in Attica, MI!

Additional Information:

  • Hours are approximately 16 hours per week


  • Supervise children of adult learners enrolled in the Adult and Community Education Program
  • Plan and organize a variety of age-appropriate activities by incorporating art, music, and physical activity into those activities
  • Assist with completion of homework
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment
  • Prepare healthy snacks
  • Promote the use of good hygiene (e.g., hand washing after restroom use), proper manners (e.g., use of please and thank you), and other positive socialization skills such as sharing and listening
  • Report for work on-time as scheduled
  • Perform duties and responsibilities in accordance with board policies and administrative guidelines
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPR and first aid certification or proof of training
  • Recent and relevant experience in a comparable capacity working with/caring for preschool, elementary school, and/or middle school children

    • Remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance in the workplace throughout his/her employment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Stand, squat, and kneel for extended periods of time
  • Have the physical stamina necessary to perform the essential job duties and responsibilities
