Electronics Technician
**Description**
Perform one or more of the following tasks: test, assembly, calibration, modification, rework, debug, preventative maintenance, basic data analysis, evaluation of experimental apparatus, circuit components, prototypes, and processes to meet engineering, production or quality goals consistent with operating procedures and practices.
Observe, assimilate, and perform assigned elements of these tasks:
+ Maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic, electrical, and computer-based equipment
+ Repair, conduct, and test a variety of electrical systems, line replaceable units, module, and circuit card level products
+ Troubleshoot electro-mechanical assemblies to the component level
+ Utilize various electronic test equipment, such as digital volt meters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF power meters, and power supplies
+ Perform minor soldering and electronic repair of test assets and cables
+ Assist in executing test procedures in prototype or development processes from instructions
+ Interpret rather complex sketches, schematics, charts, graphs, blue prints, block, and wiring diagrams prior to testing and implementing operation procedures and processes
+ Test, troubleshoot and debug computer controlled electronic and electromechanical modules and assemblies to ensure conformity with engineering performance specification using standard and special equipment
+ Analyze circuitry and components of malfunctioning assemblies to locate causes using test equipment and schematics, circuit list and other source data
+ Compile written reports of tests and work performed
+ May participate in field installations of systems, modules or other company products
+ May perform other related duties as required*LI-RM1
**Qualifications**
Associate's degree or certificate from an accredited technical or military electronics program or recognized school. Experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
**_Knowledge / Experience:_**
Academic knowledge of electronics, mechanical, solid state technology, microprocessor and computer technology sufficient to function in fields of electronic technology including industrial, radio frequency, solid state, mechanical, digital, analog, microprocessor control and computer interface. Demonstrated ability to comprehend schematic diagrams, logic drawings, mechanical drawings, and wire lists.
