Application Developer

OBJECTIVE:

Client is a nationwide wholesale distributor based in the NYC Metropolitan area, searching for an Application Developer to be responsible for the development of new applications, enhancement of existing software and troubleshooting/support of our ERP systems. As part of a team of application developers, the P/A will work directly with end users at all levels of the organization to adapt our systems to meet the constantly changing needs of our dynamic business.

LOCATION: Fully Remote (Within the United States)

SALARY:  Up to 90K Annually + Bonus

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accountable for the several phases of the software development life-cycle, developing project plans for both programming and implementation
• Develop global implementation and high-level plans for the selected projects
• Conduct organizational needs assessments through interviews and analysis; Prepare detailed written reports and recommendations
• Perform application/functional needs analysis
• Proactively work with the IT department to identify the organization’s system needs, and project requirements, and design appropriate programs to suffice those needs within the planned time-frame
• Assist employees in problem resolution, provide technical consulting, and training sessions if needed
• Assist with the installation and testing of software releases
• Ensure effective testing, follow-through, and implementation of programs
• Responsible for planning, effective communication, and providing excellent customer service
• Adhere to the commonly accepted security practices generally followed by technology professionals
• Always cognizant of any security, integrity, or reliability risks that could directly or indirectly harm the safety of our data
• Improve business processes and tactfully challenge the status-quo to better serve L&R’s vision, mission, and principles

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 5 years of applications development experience with a Multivalue database (UniData, U2 preferred)
• SB+, (System Builder) experience desired
• Understanding of wholesale, retail or manufacturing processes a plus
• Strong organization and communication skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver against deadlines
• Collaborative work ethic
• Experience with any of the following integration tools:
  • Jitterbit

  • Mulesoft
  • Kourier
• Experience with any of the following applications and tools:
  • Prelude ERP
  • MS Power BI
  • MS Data Factory
  • iPaaS
  • Red Hat Linux
  • SQL, PHP
  • Microsoft CRM Tools
  • Repsly
