Job Summary
Create and process customer return orders including inspection and disposition in our ERP system. Inspect incoming raw materials and finished goods. Be an active member of the Quality team participating in internal audits, continual improvement activities, and driving improvement of defective products.
Key Job Elements:
- Execute the return material authorization (RMA) process from request to disposition;
- Initiate corrective actions, perform containment, and inspect suspect material;
- Inspect incoming raw material and finished goods using calipers, micrometers, etc.;
- Complete customer quality documentation i.e., certification of analysis, certification of conformance, etc.;
- Internal audit team member;
- Collect data on customer returns and analyze trends;
- Drive continual improvement of the customer returns processes;
Working Environment:
- Warehouse and office environment
- Physical requirements:
- Vision capable to thoroughly inspect products
- Ability to perform heavy (up to 60 lbs.) lifting duties
Qualifications
Required
- Associate degree or equivalent experience in a technical field
- Ability to interpret manufacturing drawings (i.e geometric dimensioning and tolerancing) as well as understand complex processes and technical products
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred
- Vacuum technology experience
- ISO 9001 and lean experience
- Experience in ERP systems, Microsoft D365
