Job Description:

The Marketing Brand Manager (MBM) is responsible for delivering the core marketing services offered

by the company to our real estate Agents. Each Marketing Brand Manager is responsible as the client

service representative for a select group of offices and the Agents who work in them. Our company

offers the very best marketing materials and services in the industry, and Agents that utilize them tend

to advance heavily in their field. The goal of the MBM is to evangelize the Agents within their office(s) to

utilize all that we have to offer and to create custom marketing strategies for each individual. The

Marketing Brand Manager also works hand in hand with other MBMs and the enterprise marketing


The IDEAL candidate will have 3+ years in a Marketing, Advertising or Public Relations role, and

experience in the Real Estate industry is a plus. ALL candidates must have recent hands on experience

creating marketing materials using Adobe InDesign/Creative Cloud before applying. New graduates

with experience using Adobe InDesign/Creative Cloud, who have relevant work experience during

school in an internship or full time/part time job, and passion and enthusiasm will be strongly

Essential Job Functions:

Graphic Design & Creative Marketing. Create/Review/Process marketing materials for Agents utilizing

company resources and templates or creating new designs from scratch. This includes magazine ads,

marketing brochures, direct mail campaigns, custom e-mail templates, digital marketing pieces, social

media marketing, and other custom projects that promote the company’s real estate listings and their

Agents. A typical marketing piece will involve moderate to advanced graphic design knowledge and

copywriting skills and require proofing/approval through the Assistant Director of Marketing. A design

test will be required after initial application.

Agent Engagement. We believe strongly that if our real estate Agents utilized our marketing services

and materials to their fullest, they would be able to achieve the highest honors in our field through the

winning of listings and lead generation. Each MBM must first clearly understand all of the benefits

offered by the company and in turn be able to promote those with our Agents. Whether it be group

meeting presentations, one-on-one strategy sessions or other educational communications, it is the

responsibility of each MBM to help our Agents utilize successfully all that is available to them. This also

means that the MBM must be in tune with what trends and initiatives are happening with the company,

with the Sotheby’s International Realty brand and with the industry as a whole. The most effective way

to engage with agents is through superior customer service, proactive outreach, and genuine

relationship building.

Updating and Using Relevant Knowledge. Keeping up-to-date and wanting to constantly learn, with

both industry knowledge and technical knowledge, and applying new skills to your job regularly.

Marketing Director Support. The Senior Director of Marketing holds ultimate responsibility for the

organization’s marketing activities and oversees the development and delivery of a fully integrated

marketing strategy for the agents and the business. The MBM will provide as-needed support to their

Director on projects including event planning, company design projects, digital marketing, social media,

administrative work, community outreach, and strategic planning.

Experience and Attributes:

College degree in Marketing, PR, Advertising or related field preferred, but not required

3 plus years of experience in similar marketing role OR entry level with internship and advanced Adobe

InDesign/Creative Cloud experience during the internship is an absolute requirement.

Experience with Adobe InDesign/Creative Cloud and other software related to Marketing/Advertising

is required. Candidates without InDesign experience will not be considered.

Ability to create marketing collateral for an organization

Real Estate industry experience strongly preferred

Excellent communication, customer service and relationship-building skills

Critical thinking required

MUST be a team-player
