The position is delivering truss to construction and building sites. The key is for a driver who is capable of doing work associated with the delivery. This means the truss is loaded on to the Flat bed and the driver verifies the Load that it is correctly loaded and straps it down. Must understand shapes sizes and proportions of weight distribution. It is usually 50 feet long, 10 feet wide and 12 feet tall.
Then once at the job site figure out where the truss would be rolled off and how to navigate to the delivery point. The truss is rolled off as Driver uses controls to operate and guide the roll off to lay it on the ground The driver reinspects truck brakes lights.
There is training
The hourly is 18.00 to start if no truss experience, more with that or roll off
They would possibly go to 19.00 or 20.00 if they have some wide load experience. Trusses are just a different "animal".
Also, there is time and half over 40 hours. Usually they put in 5-10-plus hours of OT.
