Job Description
The Software Developer is responsible for work in all stages of the development life cycle – comprehensive understanding of the requirements, design, construction, optimization, testing, and implementation. This position is focused on back-end SQL development in columnar and row-based database environments.
A commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is essential.
Job Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain SQL database systems, APIs, and applications for internal and external users at a large scale.Conduct requirement analysis using agile methodology, working directly with product owners and management at all levels.Make recommendations to management for improvements and processes that will maximize automation and efficiency and minimize manual work.Participate in load and performance tests analyzing & resolving bottlenecks and performance issues.Responsible for system tuning, optimization of information/data processing, maintenance, and support of the production environment.Assist in the development of standards and technologies used for corporate database development.Provide expertise to ensure the implementation of corporate solutions in a timely and efficient manner.Performance tuning & query optimization using related monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
Required qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Masters, or equivalent with programming experience.Two or more years of design and/or development experience with SQL.Experience with Vertica or columnar RDBMS a plus.Familiarity with source code management systems to handle versioning of database systems.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills
Vertica, .NET, C#, Node, Angular knowledge a plusFamiliarity with BI toolsIntermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Office suite
