Konica Minolta currently has an exciting opportunity for a Federal Government Account Manager!

A senior level sales position with aimed to strategic DOD and Federal Civilian HQ Accounts that require High Level relationship and strategic management throughout the US. Assignment to existing Federal Accounts to drive national/global sales activities alone or in concert with the channels and DX enablement teams, originating branch/partner, with the goal of maximizing all KM Federal Sales revenues.


Responsible for creating the account strategy, sales growth, managing/coordinating implementations and roll-out plans, account QBR's with Corporate Headquarters, contract management and compliance.

  • Assist with Pricing and Contract Development
  • Account Review/Management
  • Strategy development on a National basis
  • Coordination of National resources to support customer
  • Responsible for communication to all KM team members & partners
  • Develop new business opportunities within named Federal agencies
  • Grow existing Federal agencies within assigned channel revenue
  • Effective management of Federal contracts through all phases of the business-to-government sales process including, but not limited to: Bid analysis, price exceptions, proposals support, contract launch and on-going marketing to insure compliance individual contract requirements and fulfillment
  • Develop and maintain, professional relationships with top prospective and existing customers - both internally and externally - to drive Federal revenue
  • Ensure government sales strategies are well developed and effectively implemented using the full resources of the company, including presentations, webinars and target account packages
  • Identify sales engagements for and align with the Strategic Partners Team
  • Coordinate with appropriate staff and departments to ensure all contractual, technical and logistical terms and conditions can be met
  • Manage corporate resources effectively to maintain required timeliness so that contract award requirements are met


  • Knowledgeable of MFP, MSP and IT industries - sales techniques, products, trends
  • Knowledge and experience with Federal Contract Vehicles aligned to industry
  • Knowledgeable of multi-channel sales and support
  • Understands government security guidelines (NIAP, ISO 15408, Common Access Card); government environmental guidelines (Energy Star); and government accessibility guidelines (Section 508)
  • Competent presentation, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Competent in Microsoft Office, Google Apps, and CRM
  • Willingness to travel 60% of time for sales engagements within named Federal agencies
  • Minimum of 5 years industry experience
  • Proven experience in business-to-government Federal sales
