Industrial Sales Manager

Position Overview:

This role, reporting to the President, will manage the industrial sales team and grow our business by identifying new process applications in our existing markets new target markets as well as expanding our sales and marketing efforts in our existing end markets. The candidate will also be expected to grow the Company’s geographic footprint nationally and internationally. This go-to person must be able to quickly gain credibility within the Company and with our customers. This is a high level and highly visible role within the Company and requires and entrepreneurial professional with a high EQ that has a strong track record of success.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • A team leader, bring cohesion to existing team including field sales and over time build a team of direct reports
  • Evaluate current sales process, identify / perform gap analysis and design and implement new sales SOPs as needed
  • Continue to refine our positioning against our competitors
  • Monitor industry and competitive trends
  • Coordinate our engineering, manufacturing and aftermarket sales teams to better manage post-sale customer relationships
  • Research untapped markets for our technologies in e.g., food waste, food and chemical applications
  • Understand bench scale and pilot scale testing and how our services can assist our clients in the selection of our products (thereby reducing errors in selection that impacts their bottom line) leading to increased sales as well as provide data for R&D and Product Enhancement or Development
  • Promote our business across all marketing channels, including trade shows, industry associations and using print and digital media
  • Develop key account strategies to assure competitive position and maximize order intake

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 15 years of experience including 5 years of dryer and thermal processing experience
  • Combination of filtration, liquid solid separation and dryer thermal processing experience strongly desired
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemical Science, or equivalent combination of a related discipline and experience
  • Demonstrated track record of revenue growth and new market development
  • Experience in pre-contract, lab testing, application engineering, post contract project engineering, mechanical design, parts, post-sale cycle
  • Familiarity with Class A and Class B Biosolid market
  • Robust knowledge of concepts such as energy saving, waste heat recovery
  • Demonstrated capability in leading, managing, mentoring and developing the sales and commercial team
  • Strong team player with the ability to work equally well across a cross-functional team
  • Able to travel up to 50%
