This position will be responsible for supporting the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Department with the development, implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of programs, ensuring compliance with company policies, federal, state, and local regulations.
Provides outstanding customer service while building relationship at all levels and across diverse cultures.
Conducts investigations and root cause analysis, and communicates findings to the appropriate departments and/or leadership.
Develops and implements corrective/preventative actions that improve the safety and environmental conditions of the facility.
Assists in job hazard and environmental assessments, and participates in the development and implementation of improved processes and procedures.
Maintains current knowledge of industry and regulatory laws, guidelines, and practices.
Communicates and initiates improvements resulting from changing regulations.
Conducts, assigns and participates in health & safety audits, including the development of and drafting of audit documentation, tracking corrective actions, and monitoring of trends.
Maintains EHS databases, files and records. Modifies and implements compliance tracking programs and recordkeeping systems.
Assists Technical Trainers in the development of technical documents including EHS and Operational procedures, programs, job aides and training documents.
Develops and conducts training on environmental and safety programs, policies and procedures.
Supports the EHS manager in responding to emergency situations during or after hours.
Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
High School Graduate/GED equivalent.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in environmental, health and safety in a manufacturing environment.
AAS in Environmental Technology or related field, preferred.
RCRA and Hazardous Waste Management Certification.
OSHA 30 Hour Certification.
40 Hour HAZWOPER.

·Must be 18 years or older.
·Able to work overtime & weekends as required.
·Be on call as the back up to the EHS Manager during emergency situations.
·Wear hairnet, safety glasses, long pants, steel toe shoes/boots and any other uniform standards.
Read, comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions.
·Ability to sit, bend, stoop, climb, and stand for long periods of time in one place.
·Able to lift items up to 50 lbs.
