Description

The KCC Planning Master Scheduler will supervise the product line specific planning team. This role coordinates the scheduling of work and monitors work center activity through use of MRP and LEAN principles and tools. Accountable for manufacturing build plan to support customer orders and organization objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise product line planners.
• Reports into the Materials Manager supervising the product line planners.
• Work with product line planners, create and maintain overall production schedule and distribute work center dispatch lists according to production needs, priority, material and capacity.
• Act as a liaison among manufacturing, quality, sales, and customer service on order status and fulfillment.
• Coordinate with product line planning team to introduce and maintain standardization of capacity-based planning strategies across product lines.
• Work with continuous improvement team for implementation and customer order planning of Heijunka/ level loading production system.
• Stay informed of all variables affecting active production schedule and adjust as needed while maintaining customer priorities.
• Provide accurate revenue forecasting based on backlog, factory capacity, and order fulfillment progress.
• Apply and drive a data analytics-based approach to manage production schedule implementation and maintenance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Production/ Operations Management, Planning, Engineering or similar discipline is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in master scheduling, materials planning and/ or production control in a manufacturing environment utilizing an ERP based system.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Strong data analytics background.
• Excellent planning, scheduling and organizational skills.
• Well-developed interpersonal, communication, influencing, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Lean Six Sigma training/ certification is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and similar software.
• Ability to maintain confidential information.

One element in our total compensation package is base pay. The starting base pay for this role is targeted to be between $75,000 to $95,000.

Individual compensation decisions are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to previous experience and skills acquired prior to joining Knowles, cost of living in the assigned work location, assigned schedule, and salaries of similarly situated peers at the company.
