Job Description

Knight Barry Title is seeking an Account Executive in Kenosha County! Under the general supervision of Senior Management, the Account Executive contacts present and prospective customers to obtain orders for title and escrow transactions. Also performs in a Closing Coordinator capacity as needed.

DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Establishes and conducts sales and marketing programs to increase local market share.

  2. Develops new customers for company services by contacting realtors, builders, attorneys, lending institutions, developers, investors, corporations, etc., to determine their needs and to offer services the company can provide which meet those needs.

  3. Arranges and participates in training programs for customers and other interested groups; attends/participates in association meetings and other appropriate social functions.

  4. Maintains existing business by providing information concerning company services; by providing marketing materials and suitable promotional items and by taking orders for title insurance and other services.

  5. Provides timely, accurate, competitive pricing for potential orders, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.

  6. Provides timely feedback to management regarding market conditions and updates on competitors.

  7. Keeps records of activities and expenses and makes periodic reports.

  8. Adheres to a budget for selling expenses.

  9. Acts as a liaison between the Company’s Accounts Receivable Department and the customer in regards to unpaid invoices.

  10. Prepares closing documents and attends closings as needed.

  11. Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  1. Knowledge of the principles and purpose of title insurance, of services provided by a title insurance company, of principles of real estate sales and mortgage financing, and of legal terminology related to title insurance.

  2. Demonstrated ability to develop and manage a sales program capable of meeting revenue objectives set by management.

  3. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, in person and by telephone, with all levels of the organization and with external customers. Ability to positively represent the company.

  4. Analytical ability to plan and maintain an efficient schedule of customer contacts and sales promotion.

  5. Demonstrated negotiating and decision-making skills.

  6. Ability to pass the State title licensing exam, or license required.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSING

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or a related field, with two or more years of successful sales experience, preferably in a real estate or financial services organization, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  2. Ability to pass the State title licensing exam, or license required.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  1. Valid driver’s license for day travel in Wisconsin required.

  2. Would be expected to become a notary to have the ability to conduct closings.
