Project Manager Aerospace Manufacturing Industry

KPG has partnered with a Thriving and growing Aerospace company in Santa Ana, CA. Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager. The Program Manager oversees the program is appropriately planned, designed, engineered, and managed throughout the manufacturing process. Please submit your resume for immediate consideration.

Schedule: Mon-Friday 8 AM - 5 PM

Pay: $100,000 - $140,000

Essential Functions:

• Project oversight and Management on assigned programs in reference to managing cost, quality, schedule, and customer satisfaction in compliance with specifications and agreements. commercial, defense, and government standards and specifications as applicable.
• Oversees, approves, and is responsible for the creation of responses to RFQ’s, additional changes in contract/project scope, and/or any and all customer or internal changes that affect project goals/metrics (i.e. cost, gross margin, schedule(s)). Meets regularly with Customers and promotes up-scope sales generation on existing and new opportunity programs.
• Proficient in Negotiations and Conflict Resolution.
• Monitors risk on programs and allocate appropriate time to mitigate risk levels and provides risk assessments as needed to mitigate identified risks.
• Generates and provides all required documentation regarding complete control and monitoring of assigned project (s).
• Document all contract and manufacturing changes.
• Responsible for the implementation and distribution of design engineering drawings and subsequent design changes to QA and manufacturing organizations. Responsible for the removal of obsolete drawings from circulation.

Required Skills, Education & Experience:

• Must be a U.S Citizen and not hold multiple citizenship.
• Must possess Secret Security Clearance and maintain security clearance for the duration of employment.
• 7 years min experience in a Program and/or Project Management environment
• Previous Aerospace Experience is required
• 7 years experience in a manufacturing environment – made-to-order fabrication a plus.
• Program financial understanding, program, and scope estimating, cost of goods sold, and program/project gross margin experience are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Blueprint interpretation, Bill of Material (BOM) understanding principles and practices
• Common knowledge of manufacturing practices including welding, machining, bonding, and fastening.
• Microsoft Project and/or similar program scheduling software capability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiar with manufacturing shop and shop environment and able to communicate and work with a direct workforce at all levels.
• Experience with tooling fabrication, liaison role between customer and supplier, and shop practices a plus.
