Location –
Research Triangle Park (Greater Raleigh-Durham Area), North Carolina
This is a position with the Army Research Office (ARO) who's mission is to serve as the Army’s executive agency for development and conduct of extramural basic research with authority and responsibility for programs in the physical sciences, engineering sciences, and mathematical and information sciences, in response to Army wide requirements.
Job Description –
Provide support with customers to ensure monthly invoicing of project expenses and monthly submission of documentation.
Capture financial data to ensure the government has the most accurate information to measure the fiscal performance.
Provide monthly financial reports: cash management spreadsheet.
Provide a monthly report of budget performance.
Reviews, examines, coordinates and routes invoices to Defense Finance Accounting Service.
Generates reports and supports technical program managers and others.
Prepares, analyzes and verifies accounting documents prior to entering them into the automated
Other financial analysis and support as needed, including documenting emails, telephone interactions and customer contacts.
200 Hours of specific training and on-the-job training will be included.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work –
This is a Full-Time position. Dayshift, Monday through Friday, 8am – 5pm. Alternate Work Schedule (AWS)/FLEX possible.
Travel –
None required.
Required Education –
Possess (at a minimum) a Bachelor’s degree. Relevant financial systems and accounting experience or relevant experience of five (5) years in Contract Closeout related activities can be substituted for degree.
Expertise in contemporary business computer tools (spreadsheets, databases, word processing, presentations, and graphics) is essential.
Possess the ability to work independently with minimal training and oversight.
Strong written and oral communication skills are essential.
