Performs manual labor requiring heavy physical effort. May operate small equipment such as hand tools.
Performs general labor duties associated with road construction, rip rap, and drainage structures along with other various duties.
Laborer duties can include but not limited to; Jack hammer, digging ditches, trenches, grading and sloping , mixing and pouring concrete, asphalt and hot mix; filling and leveling holes in damaged roads, spreading dirt or gravel to improve road conditions, assists in installation of culverts, highway signs, guard railings, and right-of-way fences; assists in surveying, setting control stakes, recording notes; assists in materials testing of various materials.
Valid Drivers license preferred
MUST be able to pass a drug screening and remain drug free. Random drug checks.
Work may be temporary.
