The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) is responsible for the supervision and management of behaviorally challenged and emotionally disturbed children/adolescents within a therapeutic setting.
Must meet one (1) of the following: - Bachelor's Degree in Human Services field and one year experience required OR other degrees or credits towards degrees can be accepted with one (1) year of full-time work experience. - Have certification as a BCaBA, RBT, BCAT, or behavioral health certification in behavioral analysis from an accredited organization. - Have a High School Diploma (or equivalent) along with 40 hours of training covering the RBT task list as evidenced by a certification that includes the name of the responsible trainer. - Have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in the field of behavioral health services.
Prior professional work experience providing mental health direct care services to children, youth, or young adult is required.
Must possess the ability to be trained, and pass, First Aid and CPR certifications; Valid Driver's License Required.
