Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel to clients by analyzing their needs and determining a proper course of action
• Complete legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and briefs
• Get the appropriate legal documents ready for clients, such as brief, motions, and pleadings, as well as correspondence
• Determine case strategies and solutions to serve clients' needs after analysis
• Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is needed

Licensed attorney in California

• 1-3 years experience in family law
• Basic knowledge in working on complex family law litigation matters
• Basic knowledge of California civil procedures, rules of evidence, complex Disclosures
• Basic knowledge and experience in propounding discovery
• Basic knowledge and experience in working with clients to respond to discovery and in preparing the formal written responses to discovery demands
• Basic knowledge and experience in drafting family law forms
• Basic knowledge and experience in drafting and responding to Motions
• Proficient in legal drafting and research
• Expert user of MS Word
• Excellent typing skills

Compensation

$65,000 - $75,000 yearly with bonus opportunity
