IT Technician

We are seeking a flexible individual on a full-time basis who can (a) maintain networks, servers, and workstations; (b) provide IT services on an as-needed basis to existing and new customers; and (c) configure, install, troubleshoot, and maintain IP telephone systems, hosted IP phones, and SIP trunks. Previous experience with VOIP and VOIP-based PBXes is required. Asterisk-based experience is especially valuable.

While a significant portion of your duties can be done accomplished via our office in Tempe, there will be times where site visits to customer locations in the Phoenix metro area will be required.

Qualifications/Attributes needed:

· At least 3 years of experience with networks, Windows PCs, and routing

· Solid understanding of networking

· Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, FTP, mail routing protocols, VOIP, QoS

· Experience with Windows 7, 8, 10, and Windows Server

· Familiarity with a range of routers and routing protocols

· Ability to install/uninstall/configure and troubleshoot software programs

· Strong technical troubleshooting ability

· Willing and able to learn new environments and skills

· Positive, friendly attitude and excellent customer service skills

· Ability to remain calm under pressure

· Excellent verbal and written skills

· Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as a team

· Ability to regularly lift boxes and equipment up to 45 lbs.

· Ability to use a ladder and to pull and terminate CAT 3/5e/6 cable when needed

· Ability to operate a vehicle for transportation to work sites, a safe driving record, and a valid AZ driver’s license

· Willing to occasionally work outside of regular office hours as needed, including on an on-call basis, as required
