Kenworth Northeast is looking for a skilled Diesel Technician to work 2nd shift. This position is responsible for the timely and efficient maintenance and repair of our customers' medium and heavy-duty trucks. This position offers a sign on bonus of up to $3,000 to highly qualified technicians. Sign on bonus is subject to approval by management; candidates must meet certain requirements.

How You Will Impact Our Organization
+ Performs and/or assists in the performance of general mechanical duties.
+ Gains experience in engine overhaul, fuel systems, electrical systems, transmissions, cooling systems, chassis, brakes, engine tune-up, and general maintenance.
+ Works on major components with close supervision; performs trouble shooting on minor problems.
+ Attends training sessions and meetings.
+ Maintains a neat and orderly working area, and proper handling of company tools.
+ Advises the Shop Foreman if additional repair work is necessary.
+ Follows safe work practices and procedures, uses safety equipment when required, responds to suggestions for working safely and seeks assistance when necessary.
+ Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
What We Need From You
+ Minimum two years hands-on experience and on-the-job training in a related mechanical field; graduate of vocational courses or equivalent experience and training
+ Experience in truck dealership preferred
+ A/C and Brake Certification
+ CAT Certification preferred
+ MX & Cummins Engines Certification, or at least one of these
+ Necessary tools to perform position responsibilities
+ CDL preferred
