KBC is seeking qualified, efficiency-focused applicants for the position of Director of Inventory and Facility Operations. The ideal candidate will have a background in supply chain/logistics, inventory control, and facility management, and will apply this knowledge and technology in the continued advancement of the organization's processes. The position leads the General Services department which includes facilities and vehicles, logistics, and supply inventory management. The role interacts with all levels and areas within the organization, and reports to the CFO.
+ Directs team of approximately 13 employees, including a manager and supervisor; responsible for selection, hiring, training, performance management, and daily guidance and feedback.
+ Ensures the effective operation of KBC fleet and facilities, and the availability of critical supplies.
+ Leads supply chain process, including vendor management, ordering, distribution, and inventory control.
+ Prioritizes financial requirements in all areas; executes cost control measures through the ongoing analysis of new and current products, and vendors.
+ Complies with standards issued by regulatory and accrediting agencies (FDA, AABB, OSHA, etc.).
+ Administers purchasing system for organization and oversees fulfillment of internal orders.
+ Acts as Safety Officer, participating in committee meetings, and upholding standards across the organization.
+ Establishes objectives and budgets in partnership with CFO; works well and communicates collaboratively with all departments and levels to fulfill responsibilities.
+ Maintains applicable knowledge of industry trends and best practices.
+ Participates in special projects and fulfills other responsibilities as assigned.
+ Minimum of a bachelor's degree required; business administration/management, or other relevant major, preferred.
+ 5+ years of management experience in a related role, with a background that includes vendor relationship management and price negotiation.
+ Numeric skills, to include report development and analysis.
+ Expert level MS Office proficiency, with the ability to navigate and administer web-based applications and proprietary systems.
+ Advanced written and verbal communication skills, organizational knowledge, and business acumen.
+ Valid Kentucky driver's license and safe driving record.
+ Requires the ability to work a flexible schedule that will require some evenings, weekends, and regular department on-call rotation.
