Law firm seeks a Litigation Paralegal with 5 years of experience to provide assistance to attorneys with all aspects of full-cycle case management and trial preparation. This is a long-term temporary assignment expected to last 3 or 4 months. The Paralegal will assist with the discovery process, case investigation, tracking and communicating case related dates and information, database maintenance, preparation and review of documents, reports, and correspondence, and trial preparation. Duties include maintaining legal documents; assisting with preparation, filing, and service of pleadings; assembling exhibits, witness binders, and appendices for depositions and court filings; responding to discovery related requests; summarizing deposition and trial transcripts and exhibits; researching various issues using case-related files and outside reference sources; and preparing statistics, charts, graphs, and other summaries to detail findings. Candidate will assist at trial and support appeals. The hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Experience drafting, cite-checking, and correcting trial and appellate legal briefs, and managing medium-to-large scale document production is required. Qualified candidate must have experience with federal appellate procedures and forms, federal administrative law, and financial services. Proficiency with Relativity or similar document management software, and a working knowledge of CaseMap and TextMap are necessary. A bachelor’s degree and paralegal certificate from an ABA approved program or attorney attestation. The Litigation Paralegal will possess excellent communication and organizational skills to work with experts in preparation for trial, and will have the ability to meet required deadlines.
Hourly rate is up to $40.00.
