Job Description

Immediate opportunity for detail-oriented administrators to support the return of in person learning in public schools. School-based Health and Safety Coordinators will manage the weekly testing program and support schools with health screenings, the wellness room's supervision, and other essential health and safety functions. This position adheres to the highest safety protocol level, and staff will be provided with appropriate PPE such as face shields, gloves, surgical masks, and hand sanitizer.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support daily health screening for staff and students
  • Provide supervision for the Wellness Room when students exhibit COVID-like symptoms and are awaiting pickup
  • Support principal and school leadership teams in implementing Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures
  • Manage the receipt, distribution, sample collection, and mailing of the various tests being conducted weekly
  • Support school leaders in tracking and filing COVID testing consent forms
  • In partnership with the principal, develop a testing schedule to test all consenting students and staff weekly
  • Oversee self-administered COVID tests for all staff and students
  • Support young students and special needs students who require adult support to collect test sample
  • Assist schools in parent communication around the testing program
  • Provide support to the school principal for ordering and supervising symptomatic testing for students and staff

 

Qualifications:

  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Basic computer literacy skills
  • Ability to follow detailed testing protocols consistently
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with school staff
  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, and staff
  • Comfortable working in an in-person and support students with COVID test procedures who need assistance
