After School Teach Supervisor will maintain on-going contact with families, and work with all other program components (health, nutrition, Parent, Family and Community Engagement, and mental health) as well as school district teachers to integrate educational goals and developmentally appropriate practices into the family setting and encourage health and well being of the child.Essential FunctionsImplement in cooperation with program parents, school...
district personnel, and management team, the child development based After School program.Create a positive atmosphere for children that follows a consistent schedule which includes small and large group experiences, homework completion, daily literacy time, Dena'ina language, choice time, skill development, eat snack with children in family style, effective activity transitions, social skills curriculum (Project Achieve-Stop & Think).Prepare monthly reports, lesson plans, screening results, and documented parent contacts.Compile information for grant reporting. Prepare reports to meet the grant requirements.Coordinates the development of a multicultural oriented general curriculum and classroom procedures with the assistance of the Kenaitze Indian Tribe Cultural Coordinator and staff.Works closely with coordinators to ensure children receive individualized services, including; observations, assessment, individualized development plans that include parental input; and that center plans reflect children's developmental levels and uniqueness.Ensure adequate materials and supplies are available for classroom to meet individual children needs.It is the intent of this job description to highlight the essential functions of the position; however, it is not an all-inclusive list.
