Maintenance Technician

Let's get to work Tolleson!! I am seeking a Maintenance Tech with Lead/Supervisor experience to work directly with a great client!

• Shifts are 4- 10 hour days
• Pay $32.00 an hour
• Supervisor/Lead Maintenance experience preferred 
• Understands 120v, 220v, 480v single phase and three phase electrical systems.  
• Located near Buckeye and 83rd avenue in Tolleson

Job Description:

• This position performs work throughout the plant facility repairing and servicing conveyors, gearboxes, scales, metal detectors, meat slicers, blenders, Vemag depositors, Urschel dicers, refrigeration units, cook kettles, Hobart gas ovens, gas stoves, heat tunnels, wrapping machines, ABL automatic peelers, and fruit washing machines.  

• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical applications required along with the understanding of mechanical and electrical assembly and/or trouble shooting for various pieces of equipment. 

• Understand 120v, 220v, 480v single phase and three phase electrical systems.  

• Doing all the above tasks keeping safety as the number one priority such as following proper LOTO procedures.  

• Must have a How can I attitude when it comes to supporting production to meet their daily product volume.  

• Essential Job Functions: Repairs and services all equipment as stated above Troubleshoot and assemble various mechanical/electrical applications.  

• Tests malfunctioning machinery and discusses malfunctions with other maintenance workers and supervisor  

• Strong maintenance knowledge and ability to work in any area as a mechanic/electrician as needed or assigned by supervisory personnel Diagnose, repair, or replace faulty mechanical and/or electrical equipment  

• Be able to be certified to drive fork and scissor lift  

• Be able to work in a 35-degree F environment Other duties as assigned  

• Physical Demands: Regularly lift and / or move up to 10 lbs.  

• Ability to reach, stand, kneel, squat, and lift 50 pounds repeatedly Occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds Position  

• Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older High School diploma or General Education Degree GED .  

• Trade/Tech School preferred 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience  

• Previous work in food industry and knowledge of food facility GMP s Aptitude for basic math  

• Must have good written and verbal communication skills in English.  

• Bilingual is a plus  

• Must be self-motivated, goal oriented, safety and environmentally conscious

• Must be flexible to work overtime, any shift, and any day of the week to support the 24/7 operation  

• Ability to work in a team environment.  

• Ability to train and teach others.
