Seeking psychiatrist (medical doctor) that wants to be part of an establish fee-for-service private practice while maintaining full clinical and administrative autonomy.

Keith Miller Counseling (KMC) is seeking a part-time psychiatrist to join our team of independent clinicians in our Dupont Circle office. KMC (www.KeithMillerCounseling.com, and www.dcGayCouplesTherapist.com) is an established group of experienced psychotherapists that treats a wide range of adult emotional health issues including depression, anxiety/panic, OCD, ADD/ADHD, addiction recovery, and PTSD/trauma. Our practitioners are client-centered, compassionate, highly skilled and are affiliated with KMC to benefit from a robust marketing system and prime downtown office space.

Our clients tend to be high-functioning professionals that are struggling with behavioral/emotional symptoms. Some are brand new to using psychiatry and others are in various states of engagement with psychiatry ranging from very high utilization to intermittent.

Our team is composed social workers, licensed professional counselors, psychologists, a psychiatrist, and marriage and family therapists. Because we conduct a high volume of couples counseling, we especially have a relational/attachment view that values the importance of repairing relationship ruptures. We believe that treating underlying mental illness is essential to successful outcomes in couples therapy, and having stable social relationships.

Keith Miller and Associates provides strategic marketing for your practice based on an established online and local reputation that has the potential to help you build and shape your ideal practice.

Qualifications: Medical license in the District of Columbia, with specialization/experience in outpatient clinical psychopharmacology.

Physicians with experience in any of the following areas are preferred: talk therapy, mind/body medicine, couples therapy, mindfulness-based therapy, working with LGBT clients, sex therapy, and/or familiarity working with ethnic minorities.

Send C.V. with cover letter that is addressed to Keith Miller, highlighting how you meet these criteria. Describe your interest in working as part of a private practice and how you would contribute to our practice, including all relevant clinical interests, training, and experience.

Only qualified applicants that meet the criteria above and include detailed cover letter will get responses if there is further interest. No calls please. Applicants without a fully independent physician license in DC or (or are not license-eligible) will not be considered.
