Responsibilities:
- Maintain a professional environment at all times
- Responsible for the Regional Office of Education media relations, website, newsletter, social media presence, publications, special events, and branding/marketing.
- Point person for all marketing projects and contribute to projects in all ROE operations.
- Work with programs and departments across the ROE to determine marketing needs and create supporting pieces.
- Work on proactive media outreach
- Collaborate with school district Public Relations Coordinators
- Responds to media and public inquiries
- Write and edit content for website/social media platforms
- Required to attend and work at events with and without supervision; some of these will be after office hours and on weekends
- Performs special projects including Photo Contest, Annual Report and Educator of the Year Banquet
- Any and all responsibilities assigned by the Regional Superintendent or Cabinet level supervisor
Qualifications:

- Preferred Bachelor’s degree in marketing related field, or comparable professional experience in marketing / communications required
- Experience with design for print and electronic media including but not limited to Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and After Effects preferred
- Experience with Final Cut Pro and iMovie preferred
- Familiarity with Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, Linkedin required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Power Point, Excel, Word) as well as Google Suite required
- Experience managing WordPress based websites, developing features, enhancing existing content, as well as writing and editing web content
- Two to three years' experience managing websites, developing features, enhancing existing content and writing and editing web content
- Excellent oral and written communications skills and attention to detail necessary for writing and editing in print and on the web as well as for communicating effectively with the office's internal and external constituents
- Knowledge of and/or experience in the workings of a communications office
- Develop internal communications
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills to work effectively in a dynamic, deadline-oriented environment that requires balancing multiple assignments simultaneously on a daily basis
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, but participate in a team as required
- Ability to interact effectively with individuals of varying degrees of technical competency and at all levels
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Create, manage events that offer services to the education community
- Knowledge of DSLR Camera for event photography, preferred
