Internship Description

KT consulting is a forward-thinking, fast-paced Government Contracting company looking to hire Recruiting Interns with strong knowledge and understanding of communication, social interactions, attention to detail, and business relationships and development. Recruiting Interns must also have a sense of urgency and a constant drive for improvement.

The Recruiting Interns selected for this program must possess strong critical thinking skills in order to integrate into our vibrant and passionate team, who are very excited to share this launch with an intern hoping to gain extensive experience.

Recruiting Intern Responsibilities

· Contribute to daily operations by providing the required number of Applicant Profiles, Applicants, Candidates, and Candidate Resumes

· Monitor and shadow Technical Recruiters progress and strategize daily objectives

· Assist with online outreach to Applicant Profiles, Applicants, and Candidates via phone and email, engaging in calculated and strategic conversations to gather information for Technical Qualification

· Source Applicant Profiles, Applicants, and Candidates Resumes through multiple Job Boards including Facebook, LinkedIn, Zip Recruiter, Monster, Career Builder, Clearance Jobs, and others

· Optimize website and social media accounts

· Perform data analysis and trend reporting on Company Recruiting Operations

Company Objectives

· Provide Recruiting Assignments that complement Academic Programs and/or Career Development interests

· Give broad exposure to the company and Federal Government Industry

· Provide adequate, reliable, and regular supervision and mentoring

· Ensure interns are keeping pace and accomplishing Recruiting Operations goals and objectives

· Provide formal performance feedback via 3 Month Performance Evaluation and Final Program Performance Assessment

· Foster Federal Industry Experience and Professional Work Experience

Role of an Internship Program Coordinator and Mentor

Each intern will be assigned a Mentor by the Program Coordinator. Interns will look to their mentors and/or supervisors to help them transition from the classroom to the workplace. It is recommended that mentors and/or supervisors regularly meet with interns to receive and provide feedback concerning their performance. During these meetings the Recruiting Interns may:

· Report on a project’s status

· Learn how their work is contributing to the organization

· Participate in evaluating their strengths

· Discuss areas needing growth and development

· Get an insight about what work lies ahead

Mentors will also assist with the following.

· Developing learning goals

· Meeting with an intern regularly to evaluate performance and if needs/goals are being met and assessing the internship program’s success

· Conducting the 3 Month Performance Evaluation

· Conducting the Final Program Performance Assessment

In addition to the Program Coordinator, a Mentor may assist with transition into the new learning environment. This is done by answering general questions related to personal and professional growth and sharing career knowledge leading to networking in the field.

Qualifications

Only the best and brightest need apply!!! To be considered for the Recruiting Internship Program – Summer/Fall or Winter/Spring internship, you must:

· Maintain an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher

· Major in Public Relations, Communications, Social Science, Business, English, or Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics

· Plan to pursue a career in Recruiting, Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Business, Program Management, Government Services, or Military Service

· Be a Junior, Senior, or Alumni Graduate

· Applicants are responsible for transportation to and from the Internship Experience

· Hours are flexible and adjustable to the Student’s Class Schedule, Course Requirements (if applicable) and Availability

· Full Time Employment: 40 hours per week

· Paid Internship: Hourly Rate – confirmed during an interview

Skills Requirements

· Must possess excellent Computer Skills

· Must possess proven Internet Research Skills

· Must possess excellent verbal and written Communication Skills

· Must possess excellent focus and attention to detail

· Must possess knowledge of Candidate Sourcing Methodologies, Tools, and Techniques

· Must possess knowledge of Database Mining and Boolean Search Strings

· Knowledge of Linked-In Recruiter is preferred

Duties and Responsibilities

Recruiting Interns will be responsible for a number of duties that will be administered through their Mentors. Recruiting Interns will have clear direction on daily basis, regarding expectations and goals that will directly correspond with the Program Objectives.

· Build and manage Candidate Labor Pools for Standard Technical & Engineering Positions

· Identify Candidates through various Recruiting Channels including Networking, Job Boards, Social Media, and Internet Recruiting

· Contact Candidates to determine Position Interest and Candidate Availability

· Qualify Candidates using Position Minimum Qualifications

· Track Sourcer Activity and Candidate Communications using Applicant Tracking System

· Develop a list of potential Incumbent Companies or Client Organizations

· Develop how to professionally reject candidates based off qualification, experience, client preference in accordance to fair labor regulations

· Learn how to create Job Descriptions, Submittals, Letters of Intent, and Contingent Offer Letters

Post Program Objectives for Intern

Upon completion of the KTC Recruiting Internship Program, Recruiting Interns will participate in a Final Program Performance Assessment. The objective of this Performance Assessment is to review the intern’s performance and successful completion of the program. This interview will be conducted by the intern’s Program Mentor and will also be reviewed by the Company President, who may also conduct or attend the Final Program Performance Assessment. After graduating from the program, Recruiting Interns will have an opportunity to become a Technical Recruiter Consultant or Technical Recruiter Analyst. Each position will include:

Job Description – Technical Recruiter Analyst

Position Description

KTC is seeking a highly motivated individual with outstanding people skills to work on the Technical Recruiting Management Team. The Technical Recruiter Analyst is responsible for performing Technical Recruiting Activities.

Technical Recruiter Analyst Responsibilities

Review

· Successfully review Job Descriptions to understand the Position Requirements

· Ask questions that will identify the right Candidate

· Understand Technology, Technical Roles, and Technical Skills

Identify

· Sourcing and uncovering Candidates

Screen

· Ascertain Candidate Competence against a Technical Job Description

Interview

· Assess Candidate Qualifications over telephone and video conference

Follow Up

· Keep Candidates in the loop

Present

· Offer Candidate Resume to Program Manager for review and acceptance

The desired result is that the Technical Recruiter Analyst can present at least three qualified and employable Candidates for each Technical Consulting Position in Program Management, Management Consulting, Engineering Services, and Scientific Services.

Technical Recruiter Analyst Duties

The Technical Recruiter Analyst must be able to identify, screen, and qualify Candidates for Program Management, Management Consulting, Engineering Services, and Scientific Services Positions. The Technical Recruiter Analyst reviews, reformats, and presents resumes to the Program Manager and Operations Manager.

The following list identifies the Technical Recruiter Analyst Duties:

  • Source, screen, interview, and evaluate Candidates
  • Foster long-term relationships with Candidates
  • Review and understand Technical Job Requirements
  • Review Applicants to verify if Position Requirements are met
  • Format resumes to meet RFP, RFI, RFQ, and Sources Sought Requirements
  • Create Candidate Resumes in Applicant Tracking System
  • Follow up with Candidates via phone and email
