GENERAL SUMMARY
The Facility Compliance Officer oversees the implementation of the KPC Compliance Program at his/her designated facilities, functioning as an independent and objective body that reviews and evaluates compliance issues/concerns within the organization. The position ensures the Board of Directors, management and employees are in compliance with the rules and regulations of regulatory agencies, that company policies and procedures are being followed, and that behavior in the organization meets KPC’s Standards of Conduct.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) is responsible for managing the implementation of KPC’s Ethics and Compliance Program for his/her assigned facility. The Chief Compliance Officer also serves as the Privacy Officer for his or her assigned facility. The primary assigned facilities are Orange County Global Medical Center, Chapman Global Medical Center, South Coast Global Medical Center and Anaheim Global Medical Center. The Chief Compliance Officer's general duties and responsibilities encompass implementing KPC's systems, processes and policies designed to ensure compliance with Federal healthcare program requirements at the hospital level. The Chief Compliance Officer is also responsible for overseeing the implementation of KPC’s Compliance Charter in his or her facility. Advise Hospital and company leadership on issues concerning compliance and ethics matters including recommending controls designed to ensure compliance. Coordinate with KPC’s General Counsel to facilitate communication between the Compliance and Ethics Department and Law Department on legal compliance matters. Oversee the implementation of corrective actions and monitoring in response to identified issues and audits.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: A Bachelor’s degree required; or clinical credential. Juris Doctorate Doctorate JD (Required). Significant hospital management experience can be considered as well.
Experience: A minimum of 10 years experience in a healthcare organization, to include demonstrated leadership. Familiarity with operational, financial, quality assurance, and human resource procedures and regulations is a must.
The posted pay scale represents the range the Company reasonably expects to pay candidates for this position. The actual wage for this position may depend on factors such as experience and education, specific skills and abilities, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, an applicable collective bargaining agreement, and Company business practices.
