Job Description

Overview of the Accounting Manager position 

Newly created hands on Accounting Manager role with a privately held client in Monmouth County! Able to work remote indefinitely 3 days a week.  CPA required.   

  

What will be expected of me as Accounting Manager? 

  • Perform monthly and year-end close process including consolidation and production of monthly reports  

  • Partner with Accounting Managers of other subsidiaries to coordinate the day to day projects and prioritization of day to day accounting activities. 

  • Establish financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems to maximize the return on financial assets 

  • Establish, monitor, and enforce policies and procedures to guide financial decisions 

  • Establish and monitor internal controls 

  • Conduct audits and provide information to external auditors 

  • Maximize return and limit risk on cash by minimizing bank balances 

  • Establish schedules; collect, analyze, and consolidate financial data to prepare budgets 

  • Achieve budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; and initiating corrective actions 

  • Provide the status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data 

  • Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends 

  • Assist the company with a selection and implementation of a new ERP System 

  

What qualifies me for this Accounting Manager position? 

  • BS Accounting 

  • 5 to 15 years of experience in accounting, month end close and financial statement preparation. 

  • CPA highly preferred 

  • Extensive use of Excel, Outlook PowerPoint and Word 

  • Experience with new systems implementations
