Inside Sales Representative

KMDI is a strong & family culture-oriented manufacturer based in Kansas City, KS with 35+ years of experience in the interior architectural FX space. We’re seeking a proven & reliable, inside sales representative to maintain & grow our reach across a large & lucrative sales territory. Our management boasts over 100 years combined experience with KMDI. You will have a dedicated team behind you 100% of the way, and you will be successful with a coachable, self-starter’s attitude.

Description

-Build & maintain strong long-term client partnerships while further developing KMDI reach within assigned sales territory.

-Research & contact clients within assigned sales territories to educate & promote KMDI products.

-Assist clients with specifications of KMDI products throughout early design phases.

-Provide exceptional customer service to project purchasers with assistance from KMDI production, estimating, and sales management teams.

-Conduct sales presentations both in person & virtually to firms in assigned territories.

-Identify client sector & communicate appropriate products to properly fit needs.

-Attend sales meetings, maintain an ability to collaborate with peers & management and remain coachable.

-General administrative tasks as required.

Skills & Experience

-Nationwide travel required, (1) week per month. More if necessary.

-Must be able to utilize both self-generated & company provided leads effectively.

-Must follow up on sales leads and outstanding project proposals.

-Must demonstrate the ability to close sales in cooperation with KMDI sales management.

-Ability to communicate superiority of KMDI products via verbal & written means.

-Display intermediate skill with Microsoft office programs.

-Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

-Driver’s license and clean driving record.

-HS degree or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree a plus.

-Experience in architectural or building material sales preferred.
