The Senior Data Controls Analyst (Project Controls Analyst III) is a full-time position in Rocklin, CA. The Analyst researches, connects, and refines sources of information throughout the company to support the audit process, to maintain database(s) of audit findings and corrective actions, and develops reports of findings, work methods, commitments, corrective actions and other related utility information. This position also analyzes performance, identifies trends, monitors compliance with audits and identifies issues. The Senior Data Controls Analyst may design and implement systems to collect, organize, transfer, and report data from various internal and external sources, including enterprise sources of operations, maintenance, engineering, document management, safety, corrective action, and finance information.


  • Manages complex data analysis projects with limited supervision on only the most complex projects.
  • Designs data analysis to achieve business objectives, process data, analyze data, write clear and concise data findings and tailor communications to specific audiences.
  • Manages very complex data extracts and list pulls ensuring data accuracy.
  • Acts as team lead and provides direction to less experienced employees.
  • Provides new and innovative solutions and recommendations to enhance databases with new data sources and improved data processes.
  • May monitor and manage work activities of less experienced auditors.
  • May prepare maintenance plans linked to specific assets in the work management system module of SAP and works regularly with field maintenance supervisors to create maintenance plan schedules. Updates asset records in SAP when work is completed or rescheduled.
  • May lead all audit functions.
  • May manage projects or initiatives.

Required Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 7 years of experience as an analyst using data analysis tools

Preferred Experience

  • Expert knowledge in technical/professional concepts
  • Broad expertise in data processing and data analysis and ability to apply this knowledge to a several different issues
