- Lead Program Management team supporting the Precision Manufacturing Group
- Responsible for financial and contract performance of the Group
- Ensure adequate resources and morale, welfare, and recreation of employees within the Group
- Lead and Mentor staff and other department Directors
- Perform business development, including arranging and conducting customer courtesy visits, company capability briefings, responding to Sources Sought, market research inquiries and related activities
- Develop appropriate business relationships with the Government and other contractors in an effort to pursue opportunities in core and new business areas
- Lead bid and proposal activities, including developing proposal strategies, decision briefings, technical proposals, developing task and product-based schedules, work breakdown structures, performance-based statements of work for responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and subcontracts
- Work with HR and management team in matching job descriptions and salary ranges to RFP requirements
- Recruit suitable employee candidates in preparation for contract award and execution
- Guide and lead Group in execution of program management
- Apply and correlate knowledge of multiple disciplines (engineering, logistics, sustainment, financial management, contracting, configuration management) to achieve cohesive program execution in accordance with overall cost, schedule & performance requirements
- Ensure development and implementation of integrated program plans, budgeting positions, schedules, analyses, and execution strategy
- Provide VP / COO / CEO with status, solutions, or decision information in execution of program contracts
Managerial Duties:
- Execute personnel-related activities, to include:
- Creating realistic and accurate job descriptions
- Directing employee workload to ensure productivity and performance against job description
- Cultivating positive employee relations and workplace atmosphere, working to resolve any personnel issues
- Conducting ongoing feedback - both informal and semiannual feedback, counseling if necessary
- Advising management as to which employees deserve recognition including but not limited to raises, promotions and awards
- Managing accuracy of employee timecards
- Ensuring employees receive and perform any required training for position and company needs
- Guide employees to ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies/processes
- Serve as link between upper management and employees; disseminate company information as appropriate - goals/changes/updates/news
- Coordinate with VP on corporate matters
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Education/Training (both required and desired):
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, or other related field required
- Master's degree preferred
- APDP Level III preferred
- Department of Defense Acquisition certifications desired
- PMP Certification desired
- Experience:
- 15+ years of Acquisition Management experience with Government or Industry, at least 10 years of which must be in a Defense acquisition program as a program manager
- Direct leadership experience in managing organizations
- Security:
- Must be a US citizen
- Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required
