Job Description

Justice Federal Credit Union is seeking experienced, strategic, and analytically minded candidates with for the position of Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Finance and Accounting. This role provides leadership and coordination of Justice FCU’s accounting and finance functions, including but not limited to accounting operations, financial accounting, budget management, asset liability management, profitability analysis, investment analysis and liquidity analysis. This position is eligible for a hybrid (combination of onsite and remote) work schedule after 90 days.

The AVP of Finance and Accounting analyzes and communicates risk related to interest rates, credit, liquidity, the balance sheet, and the income statement; and directs such functions as budgeting, financial statement preparation/reporting, financial analysis/reporting along with management reports presented to senior management and The Board of Directors. The ability to think strategically, analytically, stay organized in a fast-paced environment with effective written and verbal communication skills is required as this position will engage with vendors, members, and employees at all levels of the credit union.

Required skills and experience:

  • Ten to fifteen years of similar or related experience to include Accounting and management at a credit union and/or other related institution
  • A Master’s degree or bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance plus Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required
  • Must be able to push, pull, or lift up to 50 lbs., as needed
  • Requires extended periods of sitting and/or standing and to be able to use PC, copier, scanner, fax, etc.
