Job Description
Our client, a manufacturing company in Malvern, PA, is seeking a Senior Benefits Specialist to join their team. This position will be responsible for the administration of all company benefit and retirement programs, vendor relations, and the development of operations that will help better the benefit administration process. The ideal candidate for this position is comfortable working in a team environment, has strong communication skills, and is extremely personable when it comes to interacting with employees.
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Manage daily administration of all benefits and retirement plans, between carriers and employees.
- Performs accurate data entry into payroll, benefits carrier sites, benefits enrollment site(s), and other systems as needed to ensure accuracy of benefits information
- Provide support to US locations and collaborates with HR professionals in other countries to ensure consistent application of benefits practices
- Ensures the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information
- Assist employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes
- Distribute all benefits enrollment materials and determines eligibility; manage open enrollment processes
- Enroll employees with carriers and processes life status changes
- Respond to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes, and other general inquiries.
- Process and administer all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability, FMLA, and workers' compensation
- Effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities
- Respond to 401(k) inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollments, plan changes, and contribution amounts
- Manage the annual catch-up contribution enrollment; calculates and process Personal Retirement Plan contributions
- Participate in an annual 401k audit, working with vendors, and preparing 5500 for submission.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required. Degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred
- Human Resources certifications are a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be discrete and maintain the highest confidentiality with extremely sensitive information
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong focus on customer service
- Strong presentation, and analytical skills
