Job Description

Our client, an e-commerce company, is looking for a Head of Marketing. This is a key role and reports directly to the SVP & CSO. Responsibilities include developing and managing the overall marketing plan for the company. An ideal candidate will have extensive experience in marketing strategies, communications, brand development, demand generation, operations, budget development and management, event management, and other key marketing roles. This key leader will develop and implement strategies to strengthen the company’s brand and market presence, plus strengthen its “voice” to our clients and prospects.

Duties include, but not limited to:

Position the company as the leading e-commerce and omni channel services provider in North America

Devise and develop integrated marketing programs, ensuring messages reach and resonate with target audiences in North America; liaison with EU counterparts to drive consistent messaging and programs between regions

Generate significant brand recognition for the company and its solutions across several vertical industries, leveraging all marketing channels

Oversee all aspects of the company’s North American marketing and demand generation strategy, programs, brand, budget, hiring, processes/execution and reporting

Design and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to create awareness of the company’s business activities - including campaigns, events, and digital marketing.

Plan and oversee all advertising and promotion activities for events, digital media, presentations, and client-facing publications.

Lead the day to day activities of the marketing team, ensuring defined objectives are achieved by the team.

Coach and develop team members on excellence in execution and career growth (i.e. regular 1:1 meetings and performance evaluations)

Provide marketing and sales leadership for five distinct business units, plus corporate marketing

Generate significant sales revenue and new business opportunities through qualified lead generation

Work closely with corporate communications to establish and maintain a consistent corporate image throughout all divisions, service lines, promotional materials, and events.

Work closely with the company’s Sales team, enabling them to meet their objectives by providing appropriate tools, materials, and presentations.

Oversee the successful creation & execution of all demand generation programs

Develop and manage marketing operating budgets including resource allocation amongst projects.

Analyze and control expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements.

Ensure effective control of marketing results, taking corrective action to guarantee that achievement of marketing objectives fall within designated budgets.

Evaluate market research and adjust marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions while keeping abreast of trends and competitor’s products, services, marketing, and online presence

Qualifications:

10+ years’ experience in B2B online marketing

5+ years’ management experience with a consistent track record of leadership and delivering exceptional results.

Experience managing and executing large projects from start to finish including project management, data gathering, and modeling, problem-solving and communicating recommendations.

Ability to prioritize multiple concurrent workstreams and delegate effectively.

Senior presence with the ability to clearly and consistently work side-by-side with a broad range of senior leaders and functions to achieve objectives.

Data-centric and strategic mindset: will monitor KPIs and perform ad hoc analysis to figure out what’s next, always keeping in mind the overarching strategy and business goals.

Persuasive communication skills with excellent negotiations and relationship- building skills.

Emphasis working with retail clients and brands.

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or Business. MBA preferred.
