Position Summary

We know that a high-performing sales team is the key to growth. That's why we're seeking a qualified Director of Sales to provide strategic sales leadership with focus on both legacy and emerging technology platform growth.

Job description

To lead, develop and focus the revenue team in a player/coach role that includes both individually contributing to the top line and overall management of the sales team.

Player: To advance revenue generation, industry presence and strong client partnerships by prospecting and closing Company/Enterprise level opportunities for a specific platform.

Coach: Manage the sales team by driving a culture of top line growth across all platforms and companies. Develop target market and distribution strategies to maximize both B2B and B2C revenue. Direct sales operations to scale and to ensure effective, efficient use of metrics, tools, communication, collaboration, process and closing techniques.

Player Responsibilities
  • Mine personal network for net new prospects
  • Manage long, complex, consultative sales cycles
  • Maintain pipeline, CRM activity
  • Pipeline management
    • Manage new sales opportunities from prospect to close
    • Create proposal template and related sales tools
    • Collaborate with functional teams for delivery: Marketing, Development, Legal, Service Delivery
  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships
    • Leverage relationships with Brokers, Consultants and Carriers to increase brand awareness and revenue
    • Strategically build and grow distribution partnerships
    • Trade show representation

Coach Responsibilities
  • Develop strategic sales plan to maximize market penetration across all platforms
  • Recruit, train and grow sales team
  • Develop strategic succession plan
  • Build and grow channel partnerships, expand distribution
  • Manage revenue forecast across all platforms
  • Consistent sales activity reporting
  • HR management of sales team
  • Advisory Board representation

  • Insatiable hunger to close business, lead and achieve
  • 3-5 years of sales management experience
  • 3-5 years of channel sales experience
  • Expert interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills-oral, written, presentation
  • Strong leadership skills-build, grow, develop amazing team
  • Deep understanding of platforms, markets and trends
  • Insurance industry experience. Understanding carriers, products, brokers, captives and reinsurance markets
  • Sales data and market feedback analysis
