Job Description

A highly respected, public, and world-class home builder is seeking an Assistant Controller to join their team in the Portland, Oregon, area. This financial expert will report to the CFO and will act as the conscience of the division, have fiduciary responsibilities, encourage business process improvement, and challenge the thinking/decisions of the management team. They encourage it.

  • Manage the division’ s financial projects, anticipatory budgeting, and historical reporting
  • Report financial results in accordance with GAAP
  • Utilize and understand the computerized accounting system
  • Prepare financial projections as required by the company’ s corporate team
  • Manage and implement information systems applications
  • Perform operational duties in addition to financial duties
  • Will be the direct supervisor of at least 2 employees in the accounting department
  • Bachelor’ s degree from a 4-year university, or 6-8 years of experience, or a combination of both
  • Homebuilding experience is preferred but not required
