POSITION SUMMARY

Works with the Data Warehouse team and with other departments to design quality customized testing solutions utilizing established methodologies and enterprise Business Intelligence (BI) tools. The Quality Assurance Specialist will design, deliver, and support high-quality and customer-focused manual and automated database testing, using ICEDQ, that help end users easily access and analyze data in a data warehouse or data lake.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Provides necessary manual and automated testing of data elements. Document and verify source to report data mapping. Assist with data validation and testing. Work with Business Intelligence ETL (extract, transform, and load) group to perform black box testing of data. Work with reporting group to assist in ad hoc and complex report testing

TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS* 3+ years of QA experience. 2 years of automated ETL test experience using ICEDQ (integrity test engine for data quality). 2+ years of database experience such as DB2, Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server, or MongoDB, or MySQL* 2+ years of cloud database experience such as AWS Athena, Redshift, DynamoDB, S3, Microsoft Azure SQL, Azure Cosmos, Snowflake, Databricks, or Yellowbrick* Knowledge of IBM Infosphere Information Server, Informatica PowerCenter, Talend, or AWS Glue is a plus* 2+ years of ETL testing or development experience* 2 years of automated ETL test experience using ICEDQ (integrity test engine for data quality)* 2+ years of SQL testing or development experience* Experience working in Linux/Unix environment* Experience with QA tools such as Xray for Jira, qTest, or ALM Quality Center* Experience with BI testing tools such as QuerySurge, iCEDQ, or ETL Validator is a plus* Demonstrated understanding of data/information quality principles and practices.* Working knowledge of business intelligence tools such as Spotfire, Tableau, or Business Objects is a plus.* Working knowledge of ETL framework.* Knowledge of UNIX scripting and Unix commands* Strong problem-solving skills and persistence to solve difficult problems.* Must possess solid verbal and written communication skills for working effectively on cross-functional teams.* Knowledge of data modeling and mapping is a plus.* QA /Technical certifications are a plus* Brokerage / Bank licenses are a plus (Series 7, 63, 24, etc...)

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS* Bachelor's degree and extensive course work in computer science, information systems, computer engineering, statistics, finance or related field
