The role is focused on two key areas: - Driving a program that provides energy, water & waste savings / reductions across HP's global portfolio, including via low cost / no cost initiatives (LCNC) and initiatives which require capital investment. - Aligning JLL's FM service delivery team with HP's sustainability targets. In addition to energy consumption, water & waste this includes reducing carbon footprint, addressing climate change, addressing air quality problems and developing smart building solutions. This is a high profile, client facing role which focusing on delivering lasting value to HP, via cost reductions and improvements in their sustainability practices. As such, we are seeking a candidate with strong technical/engineering/energy program management skills, exception client management skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and a pro-active attitude.
- Responsible for global implementation of a comprehensive energy and sustainability program supported by two regional Portfolio Energy & Sustainability Managers in APJ and EMEA, one Waste Program Manager, and one Energy Analyst.- Establish a positive rapport with both JLL and client staff and management to ensure a high level of customer service.- Working with FM account team and leveraging support from the central Energy and Sustainability Services team.- This role will be responsible for preparing business cases, including options for capex investment and third-party finance options for the client's final consideration.- Use of JLL's online technology platform for recording initiatives throughout the project lifecycle.- Advise, coach, and support building staff (facility managers, engineers, technicians) in identifying, scoping, and implementing energy efficiency improvements- Continually monitor industry trends, evaluate new products and services for potential, and participate in industry working groups. Oversee pilot tests of cutting-edge energy and sustainability solutions.- Identify and seek to partner with vendors offering innovative technology, financing solutions, and more, to position this client at the forefront of energy and sustainability practices. - Collaborate with other Jones Lang LaSalle energy and sustainability managers to share and learn best practices and publish case studies of successful initiatives. Leverage JLL experts in renewable energy, energy supply procurement, and building intelligence tools to meet client goals.- Develop and deploy a 5 year sustainability plan which aligns with HP's corporate sustainability objectives, and outlines the key activities which will be undertaken by JLL.
Required Qualifications, Skills, & Experience:
- Minimum 10 years' industry experience, with a strong preference for more experienced candidates.- Certified Energy Manager (CEM) & Bachelor of Science in Engineering (e.g. Electrical, Mechanical, Environmental, Industrial, Civil)- Demonstrated experience delivering energy savings across a large and diverse portfolio.- Strong communication skills and client relationship management skills, especially in complex, self-directed working environments.- HVAC and building automation systems (BAS) expertise preferred, and ability to coach and mentor to FM staff on LC/NC conservation measures.- Fluent written and spoken English is required.
