Quality Inspector II

Joined Alloys, LLC, headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, is a global aerospace and defense manufacturer of components and sub-assemblies. Joined Alloys specializes in complex machining, sheet metal fabrication, vacuum, torch and induction brazing, vacuum heat treating, welding, non-destructive testing, and wet painting, powder coating, and silk screening.

As an AS9100C, ISO9001, and NADCAP (welding, brazing, heat treating) certified company, Joined Alloys has the facility, the experience and quality process necessary to produce the high-quality precision components and sub-assemblies.

This position is part of the Quality Assurance department, meaning you as an Inspector, and as a member of the Quality team, are responsible for ensuring that incoming material and outgoing parts are properly inspected. Being thorough, great attention to detail, and providing timely inspections are important requirements of the job.

Position Summary: . The Quality Inspector II position is responsible for supporting production activities with mechanical inspection for first piece inspection, in process quality assurance and other assigned inspection tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Must have working knowledge and demonstrate how read and interpret drawings to ensure product quality and conformity.

Must have working knowledge and demonstrate dimensional inspection techniques to ensure product quality and conformity. Check flatness, concentricity, true
position, etc

Must utilize with completeness and accuracy quality documentation such as source inspection, first articles, IPI and DIP to ensure product quality and conformity.

Under the direction of quality manager, responsible for determining best inspection methods and techniques.

Under the direction of quality manager, responsible for accurately utilizing quality inspection equipment and tools to measure manufactured product to customer drawings while documenting's results.

Communicating with production employees on quality related outputs that effect manufacturing, first piece, in process inspection and any other functions.

Must understand and demonstrate industrial quality standards such as AS9102, AS9103 and ASMEY 14.5 to ensure product quality and conformity.

Must understand and demonstrate how to operate large inspection equipment to ensure product quality and conformity.

Must participate in position specific yearly training materials and other quality policies to support quality system. Following routers and travelers and other specific instructions that are given
