IT Specialist II

JSG is currently looking for an IT Support Specialist with IPv4 & VLAN experience. This is a contract to direct hire opportunity with an Industrial Contractor located in Kennett Square PA.
Pay up to $33/hour
The role of the IT Support Specialist is to assist customers who are experiencing any procedural or operating difficulty with the use of IT applications, products, or services. Complex and/or high priority problems are elevated to specialized support groups for resolution when needed, but the IT Support Specialist is responsible to ensure that an effective solution is provided to the user.
Responsibilities, Duties & Functions:
- Install, diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade computer HW, SW, and equipment
- Address technical issues while taking accurate reports
- Image & deploy workstations, facilitate new user set-ups, and provide orientation and guidance on software and new equipment usage
- Log interpretation experience
- Address software migrations and basic networking issues on multiple on-site locations (Printers, Wi-Fi, Physical Networking), escalating as required
- IOS device troubleshooting & centralized mobile device management
- Application installation, configuration, troubleshooting and removal
- Ability to gather, analyze information and develop solutions for users
- Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance as required
- On-Call responsibilities and transportation required
Required Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows® base operating systems (Windows 10 /11)
- IPv4 & VLAN working knowledge
- Understanding of OSI model
- Excellent time-management skills and a proven ability to self-start and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of Office 365 and related apps
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows® 2016, 2019 server OS
- Ability to gather, analyze information and develop solutions for users
- Strong knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
- Fundamentals of CMMC regulations a plus
- 2+ yrs. related field work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in computer related field and/or CompTIA A+ , Security+, and/or Network+ Certification or Modern Desktop Administration and Knowledge of Cyber Security fundamentals
