Job Description
What you will do:

This role provides a unique opportunity to coach and develop sellers, globally, on customer relationship management, sales opportunities and business management for our strategic customer, Walmart. You will be responsible for working with our three Business Unit VP/GMs, Regional GM's and our country sales leaders, ensuring delivery excellence, customer satisfaction and growth. In this role, you will lead our Global Walmart selling community, helping them alter their thinking, activities and behaviors, ensuring they achieve their potential for growth and performance improvement. You will also work with global and country delivery team's, creating local plans for delivery improvements and customer satisfaction. In addition, you will work with customers, globally, focusing on business problems and strategic priorities, sharing Sensormatic innovations and co-innovating with those customers, and designing customer specific loss prevention roadmaps.

Global Strategic Account Executives are high-energy individuals with superior skills in managing and growing large, strategic accounts with diversified sales experience. This senior-level position represents the elite of the customer facing strategic account management/sales leaders in the Global Retail Group and is responsible for growing the business, globally, through the addition of new retail opportunities by collaborating across all business platforms and for the identified strategic customer(s) through high value selling. In this role you will directly lead the efforts to create a global, strategic growth and customer satisfaction plan aligning to the companies stated initiatives and Key Performance Metrics. Continual assessment, coaching and selection/de-selection are part of the Global Strategic Account Executive's responsibility, working closely with Regional General Managers and the Business Unit VP/GM's.

The Global Strategic Account Executive scope of the role spans multiple countries (12+), continents, and regions (all 4) across the globe and will be reporting directly to the Global Loss Prevention Leader who owns all aspects of the growth and financial metrics for the business unit.

The colleague we are searching for should have experience managing, directing and coaching individuals and teams in a complex matrixed organization and is willing utilized their skills and experience to elevate the relationship, partnerships, and operate with extreme integrity both internally and externally.

This is a highly visible senior role with exposure to global sales leaders, regional & business unit leaders, Strategy Management Office (SMO) leaders, Commercial Excellence leaders, and the Sensormatic Solutions executive team.

How you will do it:

  • Lead a global team of sales and delivery executives, ensuring customer satisfaction, strategic customer relationship development and management, value solution growth, and effective business management
  • Drive and grow "Net New Business" for Johnson Controls/Sensormatic Solutions across all available products, services, and offerings
  • Embrace Retail business transformation and drive adoption of evolving processes, tools and systems
  • Develop strategic and operational business plans, encompassing elements such as: customer satisfaction, customer roadmaps and business/growth plans
  • Build effective executive customer relationships, globally and become trusted advisor
  • Develop, manage and drive the entire process (sales cycle) for "Net New Business" opportunities, including but not limited to: identify, nurture, develop, purpose, negotiate, close and implementation
  • Build and effectively manage a strong, healthy, qualified pipeline of global opportunities utilizing the company specified tracking tools
  • Coach team members to consistently identify new business opportunities and secure qualified sales appointments, and manage sales through closing
  • Ensure booked sales are delivered to and installed with customer in a timely fashion, and associated revenue is realized through accurate invoicing
  • Effectively manage operational expenses, ensuring modeled profit is realized
  • Provide feedback to Solutions Management regarding future customer business and technology plans, and needs
  • Exceed and deliver on all company stated KPI's - Customer Satisfaction, Employee Satisfaction, Growth, Revenue, Profit and Backlog Targets
  • Understand the full depth and breadth of Johnson Controls/Sensormatic Solutions capabilities, solutions, and offerings
  • Build strong relationships with customers, Business Partners, employees, Retail Solutions regional leaders and a broad array of key supporting leaders & staff across manufacturing, engineering, product management, finance, customer excellence, and others

What we look for:

Required

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 15 years minimum outside account management, sales leadership and consultative sales experience
  • Successful account and sales leader with experience leading business segment of 150+M
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales objectives and goals
  • Retail industry sales management and account leadership experience
  • Model executive presence and demonstrated success interacting at an executive level.
  • Sales Transformation and value based selling experience encompassing Product to Solutions & Services
  • Strong Sales Management discipline and effective people management capabilities
  • Proven negotiation skills
  • Relationship oriented, collaborative style; with a strong drive to excel
  • Experience leading a global account and team
  • Ability to assess, select and/or de-select, train and hire effective top sales talent
  • Demonstrated ability to mitigate risk, assess capabilities and know when to escalate
  • Large Contract development and management capabilities
  • Strong Executive presence and presentation skills
  • Business relationships and experience selling to Walmart/Sam's Club, desired
  • Deep retail industry knowledge and/or loss prevention experience a plus
  • Flexibility and adaptability is critical


Education & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree highly desired or equivalent experience
  • Proficient in CRM pipeline management and account planning tools such as Salesforce and Altify is critical
  • Strong Business and Financial Acumen
  • Extensive knowledge in Word, Excel, Project Management tools, PowerPoint
  • Very Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and develop unique approaches to business objective
  • Leverage best practices in selling, coaching and developing individuals to achieve targets
  • Capable of navigating complex and dynamic (or a politically sensitive) environment
  • Excellent analytical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel, globally


Scope and impact:

  • Responsible for improving sales opportunity development, velocity, and close rates of the global Walmart Sales team
  • Responsible for improving implementation, delivery excellence and customer satisfaction, globally
  • Part of a high performing leadership team that is responsible for a large global business, the marketing leader for Loss Prevention
  • Leading and developing an effective coaching program in a large, complex matrixed organization
  • Supports virtual teams across regions
