JADC2 Technologies SME - TS/SCI

JHNA is seeking a JADC2 Technologies SME in Alexandria, VA.

As the JADC2 Technologies SME, you will provide technical expertise for warfighting capability development, integration, and transition of new technologies that close time-critical gaps in high-priority, multi-component warfighting missions.

Daily work is conducted as an integrated team member of the Multi-Domain Joint Operations (MDJO) Directorate under the Deputy Chief Technology Officer for Mission Capabilities (DCTO(MC)) within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD(R&E)).

Work locations are in the DC metropolitan area with opportunities for situational telework.

Primary responsibilities are to:

• Provide subject-matter expertise in warfighting technologies and capabilities for JADC2.
• Deliver technical assessments and analysis to accelerate C2 capability development and delivery to the operational community.
• Identify gaps in C2 doctrine, organization, training, materiel, leadership, personnel, facilities, and policy (DOTMLPF-P), concepts, technologies, and processes to enable JADC2.
• Provide technical expertise to inform mission engineering studies, prototype development, experimentation, and global integrated wargaming.
• Ensure capability development, prototyping, experimentation, and analytic initiatives adequately address priority JADC2 gaps in order to accelerate delivery of capability to the warfighter.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• At least 20 years of relevant work experience.
• Familiarity with ongoing JADC2 efforts within the DoD.
• Technical expertise in cutting edge technologies and application of technologies into new and innovative warfighting capabilities supporting JADC2.
• In-depth technical knowledge and experience with advanced DoD weapon systems and their capabilities, concept of operations, and concepts of employment.
• Technical expertise in system capabilities, performance, and operations in at least two of the following areas: land, sea, air, and space platforms; offensive, defensive, kinetic and directed energy weapons; sensors for ISR and fire control; cyberwarfare; communication networks; electromagnetic spectrum management to include EW and 5G; application of automation; command, control, and battle management; fires close air support, long range fires, targeting, air and missile defense.
• Knowledge of one or more of the following initiatives is desired: Advanced Battle Management System, Project Convergence, Project Overmatch, or Assault Breaker II.
• Executive presence with highly effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to develop high-quality, professional briefings and written reports to succinctly capture key issues for DoD decision-makers.
• Self-starter, able to take initiative and accomplish work independently with minimal guidance.
• Must be highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• OSD, Joint Staff, and/or Service Staff experience is desired.
• Active TOP SECRET clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (SCI) and Special Access Programs (SAP).
